Senior Product Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Functional Responsibilities :

Product Roadmap –

  • Help define the product vision for building the best artificial intelligence based advanced communication platform  
  •  In-depth analysis international markets, existing competition and user requirements
  • Create the roadmap (long and short term) to implement this vision by translating high level business requirements to offer technical direction and plan the development process 

Partnerships –

  • Identify potential partnership opportunities with leading industry technical providers 
  • Lead and implement key technical integrations to gain strong competitive advantage in the market

Product Management Process –

  • Establish Product Management processes in the organization by implementing relevant tools (Jira) and setting up internal protocols 
  •  Work closely with the engineering teams (Front end, back end and DevOps) to define agile sprint plans, execute them and launch key features on a continuous basis
  • Define the backlog for engineering teams and write detailed user stories. Collaborate with UX designers to create seamless web and mobile experiences
  • Create detailed plans for QA team for thorough validation to assure highest levels of quality and compliance
  • Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activities
  • Assign and review the work of programmers, and other computer-related workers 
  • Should be flexible with work hours to accommodate for overlap with US, India and Japan

Customer feedback and product improvement –

  • Improving customer experience and developing relationships – engage with the customers and users to get constant feedback on how Eltropy is solving their problems and incorporate this into the product features 
  • Work closely with the sales and customer success, marketing teams to understand what customers want and make sure that the product delivers those needs
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and engineering teams to assess product needs and requirements
  • Analyze product usage metrics and take data driven decisions to advance the product and user experience
  • Gather user research and customer requests and translate them into clear and concise business and technical product requirements 

Technical Knowledge –

  • Adept at Product Life Cycle Management (PLM), Data visualization and analysis (MS Excel, Tableau, PowerBI), Project management software (Jira or similar), Business intelligence and data analysis software to analyze and track product performance
  • Identify key third-party services, prioritize, and implement corresponding API integrations 
  • Define and develop advanced enterprise-grade features and new API endpoints
  • Deep understanding of data privacy, security in commercial and financial service settings
  • Responsible for definition of risk management, governance and compliance requirements
  • Stay abreast of advances in the technology and latest global trends by attending technology seminars and trade shows
  • Strong understanding of API’s, Reporting tools such redshift/quicksight  etc.
  • Strong understanding of technology oriented products such text, voice and video

  • Software Development Life Cycle – Jira, Aha
  • Data management – Salesforce
  • Data Analytics & presentation – Tableau, MS Excel, MS power point
  • Rapid prototyping – Figma
  • Flowcharting & diagramming – Draw.io
  • User/Customer Knowledge – Jira service desk, Google forms, SurveyMonkey 

Security Responsibilities :

  • Develop and align product feature development with highest levels of security in place
  • Ensure highest levels of security for external and internal communications
  • Strict adherence to Eltropy’s policies and procedures related to security, confidentiality, availability and privacy;
  • Attend all trainings and awareness sessions related to security;
  • Reporting security events and incidents promptly through available channels of Eltropy;
  • Adherence to approval and authorization process while handling, accessing, sharing, storing or processing Eltropy’s confidential information or data or personal data or customer information;
  • Be responsible and accountable for handling sensitive information, protecting access credentials, managing data and information etc.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering related field or equivalent practical experience 
  • Prior managerial experience or training preferred
  • Master’s in Business Administration preferred
  • Should be a local resident of Japan with valid passport and no criminal record 
  • Should be open for travel once travel locally/nationally/internationally restrictions are relaxed.

Experience:

  • Prior work experience of 8 – 10 years in Enterprise SaaS companies 
  • In depth experience in designing integrations with multiple third party systems 
  • Experience in working with mobile and web applications in the B2B space
  • Experience working with remote, global, and cross-functional teams and an understanding of SaaS business models and enterprise sales
  • Participation in all stages of the software development lifecycle

Skills:

  • Should speak fluent English and have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to work independently; anticipating and resolving problems. Highly organized with strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Adept at analysing large sets of data to generate meaningful and impactful insights 
  • Strong leadership and excellent communication skills, with experience managing and motivating teams/individuals. Product managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to influence executives and team leaders on cross-functional initiatives
  • Possess strong decision making and prioritization skills
  • Passion for building products that unlock value for users
  • Motivated towards working in a startup environment
