Eltropy Launches Inaugural CSR Program

CSR Initiative Benefits Rural School in India

Eltropy, a compliant and secure digital communications platform for Financial Institutions, announces it has launched its first company-wide Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The social giving initiative will benefit a school run by Adarsha Education Society in the rural Panchayat village of India.

“The school needed immediate help in finishing its construction to support its growing student population,” said Chandra Bhople, chief talent officer at Eltropy.

“I am amazed how dedicated and hardworking the teachers are at Adarsha. We at Eltropy are just trying to do our bit so that the sacrifice of these teachers does not go waste. Eltropy’s very foundation is to transfer product knowledge from a company to its customers. Learning has always been critical to Eltropy’s mission so helping a deserving school was a natural fit for us as we commit to social giving.” he continued.

As part of the CSR program, Eltropy will match employee donations. In addition to these funds, Eltropy is also working on sending school supplies on behalf of its employees.

“Team Eltropy is committed to the cause of education especially in the communities that need assistance,” added Bhople. “I’m honored to be a part of the school’s expansion in order to better serve Panchayat’s community.”

Humble Roots

The Asharsha Education Society started as a small bamboo hut with only two teachers who strived to provide a strong base for languages, science, math and extracurricular activities to its 10 students. With its growing strength and quality of education, students from other villages soon started to enroll. Currently, the school offers a bare-minimum fee structure as well as full scholarships to qualifying families.

However, as a result of Covid-19, grants and other sources of funding declined. This presented an immediate challenge for the growing school.

“Eltropy will play an important role in the future of the school as well as the lives of the students of this growing community,” said Bhople.
