Eltropy, “The Best* text messaging-based platform for Credit Unions,” announces BRECO Federal Credit Union has gone live with its leading solution. The Baton Rouge, La.-based credit union is using Eltropy for Text Messaging with members in order to communicate efficiently and personally with its members. 

BRECO had previously launched Text Messaging for its membership with another vendor, but the platform was only capable of marketing use cases and opt-ins were difficult to capture. The ability to use BRECO’s existing phone number for messaging was also a major advantage for BRECO as members were already familiar and comfortable with it.

Within a week of signing its contract with Eltropy, BRECO was up and running with the solution. In fact, BRECO received text messages from its members within a day of going live, with requests for loan information and attempts to reset their online banking passwords. 

“The deployment and training process was extremely proficient,” said Poole. “Our employees’ response has been extremely positive, as they’ve been able to assist more members more rapidly, without being tied up on phone calls.”

Looking Forward 

BRECO’s long-term plans with Eltropy and Text Messaging are to drive increased efficiency, higher loan production, more member loyalty through enhanced value and attract the “next generation” of credit union members.
