Eltropy Introduces New Video Banking Deployment Models and Use Cases – Including Fraud Prevention

Eltropy announces new use cases and deployment models for its Video Banking technology

Video Banking has been gaining traction as a way to facilitate branch-like experiences for customers and members digitally. As part of this momentum, Eltropy announced new use cases and deployment models for its Video Banking technology, which is designed specifically for credit unions and community banks.

New Capabilities

Eltropy’s Video Banking offering is now more comprehensive than ever before, with new capabilities including enhanced ID scan, document exchange, signature, check deposit, virtual notary, and notary journal capabilities, among others. The company’s Video Banking platform has been laser-focused on the credit union and community banking industry for more than a decade, and it includes tools and workflows that enable seamless banking conversations and transactions.

Deployment Models

One of the key benefits of Video Banking is the ability to support complex conversations that create much more value for financial institutions and their consumers. Eltropy’s Video Banking is the most comprehensive solution on the market, with multiple deployment models available to CFIs. These include In-branch Video, Website Conversations Panel, Remote Video, Scheduled Video Meetings, and mobile app integration.

Use Cases Include Fraud Prevention

The platform allows for a range of use cases, including fraud prevention, opening new accounts and memberships, account services, lending, wire transfers, and investment advisement, among others.

Eltropy’s Video Banking is being used by a wide range of community financial institutions, including Chelsea Groton Bank, which has seen a 300% increase in customer adoption since launching its “ChelseaLIVE” service in July 2021.

TruWest Credit Union is another Eltropy Video Banking customer that has benefited from the technology. The credit union received a Video Banking call from a member traveling in Israel who was locked out of their digital banking and needed some documents. Eltropy’s Video Banking enabled the member to quickly connect with a TruWest employee for face-to-face communication, allowing for easy and confident identity verification.
